What a sad & busy week!

Last week was a sad week for me, I lost my only uncle of my father side. He was in serious situation on 28th March and was brought to Phnom Penh that day to Calmette hospital. He has stroke and it has happen 3 years ago and this is the second time he faces this. I go to the hospital several time to visit him. I rarely go to the hospital, everytime I go there, there are so many things to know, many lesson to learn and it sometime really make me feel guilty. People crying… that don’t make me feel right while I am also sad for my uncle’s situation. Things don’t go right! On Tuesday 1 April, he passed away due. Because everything is too late and his heart diseases is too serious as well as both sides of his brain are damaged. It’s very sad to accept the truth that he is gone, forever while he is still young to go, only 48 years old. You can guess how sad his kids and we as his relative are.

I went to his house at Neak Loeung that day with mom to join and help to prepare his funeral, I am so sad to hear the cry of his wife, kids as well as my aunts…. Life is so unpredictable. I come back to Phnom Penh that day and come again on the next day but with Dad.

And then I spend another 2 days to go to my mom’s homeland for Cheng Meng, It was fun. Have a rest for a day in Phnom Penh, Yesterday I go to Neak Loeung Again for joining the 7-day ceremony for my uncle’s death. Go there in the afternoon, and back at 6 pm. Due to so long qoue at the ferry I decide to go across Prey Veng via Ba Phnom Road.  I arrive Phnom Penh at 9:30 pm, it was such a crazy driving experience at night on quiet road.

Also has many other tasks I have to do during week!

Today is the first day of a new week, and everything look fresh to me even the weather is good after some raining last night, I love seeing this. Hope everything will go well.

I am 22

Time does flies! I turn 22 this month, not today but since 21st. We are getting older and older and sometime we are not ready for it yet. That’s life.

I can say I am a proud 22, I am proud of having been here and getting many things done until today. I always take success as inspiration and failure as encouragement. In life, we can’t predict the future but we can have a good plan to direct it for getting the result we want to see ourselves in the next 1, 5 or 10 years later.

Thank Mom & Dad who give birth to me and raise me up! Everything you both have done won’t be forgotten in my memory and thank Mom for your wishes in the early morning that day right before I left to Siem Reap for a few days. Thank my only sister who always on my side and having fun with me. In my eye you will never growth old, forever my little sister. Thank you for your SMS while I was on the way to Siem Reap that day. Thank all relatives/friends who always been in touch and support me in every cases, all of you are my big inspiration and I owe all of you many lessons in life.

I did good last year, pretty good as well as will be much better this year too! Cheer!

A Heart Touching Morning ........

The Saturday Morning last week,while I was driving from Prey Veng back to Phnom Penh with mom & autie, I was playing a song called "Kru Bong Rean Srok Sre". That was a nice about a good son raised by his mom after his dad passed a way. He study hard and finally gradually from a university in Phnom Penh and then becoming a teacher in his home town. This song focus mainly about his heart of being a teacher as him.

His outcome don't really impress me much but I love the ways he give back to his mother by following her advice and being a good student as his mother always wish for. She made money very difficultly just to make sure her son can continue his study at the city.

But what really touch my heart in that morning ...

a few minutes after that song ends, the conversation between my mom and my aunt continues to where she talk about how hard she and my dad we trying to make money to pay my school fee when I was in year 3 and year 4 at the university. I suddenly remember everything that time, it was in 2011 or so. I quickly remember everything about that, how hard my mom and dad trying. Just to make sure we have enough money for my school fee. I suddenly smile in my heart, I believe there were also tear of exiting drop in my heart too ;) I feel totally proud with what I can achieve and how I not waste the hard-earn money that my parent pay for my school fee that time and pay for everything to me since I was born as well as their love for me.

Love you Mom & Dad, Everything I have today is because of you. Without you, I am nothing.

Looking to Make Change!

I am a type of those who never able to keep practicing everything the same and the same over a long period. Call me Serial Entrepreneur because I always execute new idea more often and always challenge with new stuffs.

This year, I will have some more changes, which of course will totally bring me a new different life. It has to happen and I also has to make some change too. If you want different result, do the thing you never do.

6 Things I learned in 2013

I believe writing down what we have learned in a whole years we pass will help me to remember important lessons for in our life. As the 2014 is coming soon, here are 6 things that I learned in 2013.

 

 1. Stay focused, Stay Motivated

I personally heard this from many success people and entrepreneur who I learn from and respect but I personally steal (^_^) this concept from a close friend of mine who always share his entrepreneurial journey to me. Yep, we are best friends and when he was at a high level of income which the good things happen on his business, he was making something like 15 times of my income. One thing he personally recommend me to do is too stay focus on one thing until success before starting another next thing. This inspire me to spend more focus on my new website (Top10thebest.com) until it make a big success in 6 month later which it was first made on April 2013.

 

2. Never try to clone someone's success

I have to admit that I used to make this mistake! ^0^, you too perhaps! Seeing someone doing something pretty good and try to steal idea of what he/she do and do something the same or close to it and then hope to bank hard or getting success like he/she does. And the bad news is that, you will be tired of following and getting bored of doing something that you are not so much into it.  Instead, I choose to work on what I love, even if my idea is similar to what I see other people doing, but I am doing it differently with my own strategy. And the success can also be different too, it can be bigger! Who know? ;-)

3. Work Less, Achieve More 

Who the hell on this earth don't want to work less and achieve more than other average people doing? Poorly, not everyone can do it. I worry much about how much I have to work to maintain my business and still have time to create more business and spare time to enjoy my hobbies. As an internet entrepreneur, I own a lot of websites, blogs which some of them need to be updating regularly and some can be kept there just to generate passive money. What I react to this is about to use automated tool as well as outsource what take time to other people, so I can focus on doing something bigger, So I have time to sit down and see what business are going rather than spending all my time working that might result in feeling that business can be a pain.

4. It won't be too late to start/restart something

You still have chance to start something you wish to start before, time is never too late (a few case, it can be). I have an idea I want to start since 2011, but because I have no enough money, I also forget it. But in 2013, when I want to take my business to the next level, I pick up that idea to start. Result? Far more than I expect! And I am really excited with it. I also believe that, if I start it since 2011, it might not be successful like I started it in 2013 too, why? Because not all money can lead to success, it needs our brain. The quote "Just do it" or "Do it now" are not always correct.

5. Love everything you have

Love everything you have right now! I am fed up to hear people complain about things they are having and hate them. Love what you have first in order to have what you want next. This including, keep using your old stuff if you not yet able to buy a new stuff. Taking care of your family, friends and spend time when them when possible. Finding balance!

6. Health First, Success comes later:

Do you believe that in this whole 2013, I got to gym at least 2 or 3 times per week? Yep! I did. And I try to eat right as much as I can even if I still have a lot of cheat day ;). Keeping yourself healthy and strong help to boost your productivity as well as saving time and money from being ill too. Care your health first!

Reading! Reading! Back to Reading!

 

Reading? Yes, I love reading! I read no matter what type of book it is. I always keep myself with reading since I was young right after I was able to read. I remember I done reading almost every books I found in my house's bookshelves. When I was so young, beside friends I have at school, I rarely play with kid in my neighbor, so whenever I am at home, I play alone as well as reading.

Time passed, I still keep reading as my habit and hobby. Just in this few years, I can't really afford my time to read as many books as I use, but however I still keep improving my skill by reading in many blog/website as I use Pocket app a lot.

I now focus more on reading book related to entrepreneurship as well as business related. a few books I read in these few years includes Millionaire Fastlane, Rich Dad Poor Dad as well as the 4 hour work week. Those book really inspire me much, yes so much. Without them, I have no today perhaps. I love what Robert Kiyosaki and MJ Demaco said in thier book and teach us the concept about making more money than ordinary people as well as the ways Tim Ferriss inspire us to work as less as 4 hours per week and achieve as much as we can.

And it is not a new year resolution, but I plan to keep reading more. I don't like to stick to any plan and schedule but I just bought 2 book this morning in Amazon Kindle Store and plan to read them in my phone. It's "Secret of The Millionaire Mind" and "Think and Grow Rich". I will only read them when I am bored and when I want, so I believe I can finish them in 2 months.

I choose "Reading" to inspire and motivate myself and "Taking Action" to get what I want. And you?

What A dream!

I go to bed around 11 pm last night! It can sound late for you but it is early or normal for me because sometime I even stay up to 12pm or 1am to go to bed.

There is a dream last night! That's beautiful, yep! At least dream is doing fine to me than the reality does ....

Life Note Taking

Recently, I try to change some few more habbit, one of the best thing is that I start to taking more note about myself. No matter who are doing it, but I will. I like to take more photo at where I go, I tend to writing down some things that I might forget (friends' name, teachers' name..) as well as keeping those photo safes. So I can take a look at those thing later.

I don't like having a diary since I am really don't like doing mind expressing in writing, but keeping those stuff can really make me smile later when I take at those stuffs as well as I no need to try hard to remember those.

Been So Busy-Happy !!!

 

Just found out that my last post is since the last month and it is only a few days left and September will be gone.  

Yep! the reason behind is because I've been so much happily busy this month and probably and go on duo to some work as well as seeing very good outcome of what I working hard so far, it encourage us to be so much busy working on what we love.

Yep! I am busy planting !

Just another quick post:

This Khmer New Year time this year is so much fun. A day before (13 - April),was a party which gathering with old University friend (SG7 team) in a whole afternoon until 9pm or sth.

On the first day of Khmer New Year, we left Phnom Penh for Prey Veng where my dad lives there, and then head to my mom's homeland on 15th. We back to Phnom Penh on 16 evening and the whole Khmer New Year seems so fast,

12 AM now, Good Night!

Happy Birthday to me!

21 years ago today, I was born. The time moves very fast and the each birthday date remind us about adding a number to our age.

As every year, I have no party on my BD. It looks to shy to do so. LOL!  Let celebrate it silently in heart.

1 year older but it is still fine. 21, not too old :P.

Barcamp Angkor 2 & February

I am sot sure why I am so lazy to write these day. I almost write nothing in February, and now? It is already the first day of march and so I need to write something about Febuary. hahah

We left Phnom Penh to Siem Reap on Feb 22 and the event happen on 23 & 24 feb. It is a 2-day event where Techies & business people come to gather and sharing something that benefits everyone in the event. It was happy for me and other friends as well.

Developing Some New Habits

 

Most of what we do and get done everyday might be based on our habits.Having good habit is goods, more good habits is better. I am glad that recently I start developing some new habit that bring my life better and more energetic. I read more book, do more work out, wake up earlier than before, spend less time on some useless task and many other good business habit. Especially now I think more positive and worry less, much less than before.

Yep, forcing ourselves to change something can sound bad, but if we tell ourselves to do/develop new good habit it will sound easier to archive. Like what I think, 2013 is not a normal year for me. It is be far better than 2012. Yep 2012 sucks!

2012 Year in Review

 

I remember I used to write my own review about the top 10 things I learn in 2010 and I didn’t write about the 2011. But not a week left for the arrival of 2013, I have to write this review of 2012.  (Listening to Mistletoe of JB right now, it is Christmas day today).

I don’t list something down here, I will write randomly about everything I can think of now, so it gonna be long and messy perhaps.

Do it now!

"Do it now" is the quote I love the most and also the quote that sometimes I really find it hard to follow it the most too.

The best thing to get something started, the progress and to get them done is about "Do it now". But sometime with less motivation, we generally find ourselves very hard to sit down and do it.

I was so stuck this afternoon with some task. It was some challenging while it is the task that I never do and I think it is very difficult. I though I was lucky, Because even if I don't want to do it, it still okay for me. But I believe I must learn to do it because if I want the different result in my life, I must start doing something different from what we are doing now. The real and funny part of this afternoon is that task was not that much complicated thing to solve. Life is pretty easy when you can figure out to do something we though it is very difficult.
